Go Under The Bed Toys

under the bed storage solutions

With three kids sharing a bedroom, I know first hand that the toys will not make it where it is suppose to be. It goes everywhere on the floor and under the bed, on the sides of the bed. It can be a nightmare and if your kids are anything similar to my siblings then they don't necessary like to clean their bedroom. Then you go through the routine of the blaming game, angry eyebrows and arm crossing with the occasional stomping of the foot. I have seen it all, and this only occurs because they prefer to spend their time on the computer or playing video games or watching TV. Who doesn't want to spend their time doing that!

You can tell your kids to simply clean after themselves when they are done playing and then they wont have to clean up the hurricane of toy, you can say it to them until you are deep blue in the face but they wont hear you. It will just go in one ear and out the other because their little hearts desire that TV show or computer game or video game that you had they pause.... I would know because that was me once upon a time ago. So my solution was this.

I took two plastic drawers that broke off from their dresser and had the kids put only their smaller toy in it.

I bought these under the bed storage bags from IKEA for $12.00 and had the kids put their larger toys in it. It had handles so it it easy for them to pull out and push back in.

This idea is especially great for those who don't have a lot of space in their bedroom or even if your kids are sharing a room in an apartment. Toys are out of sight, out of mind. Do you like my post? Share, Comment, Like my Facebook page and follow me on Twitter. Have a wonderful creative day!
