Battery Storage Solution

diy battery storage

We all have batteries and finding them in my house can be a little stressful. They are in a drawer and then suddenly gone. Also, they roll under the couch or hidden in your junk drawer. What do you do next, you buy a new pack and the whole cycle all over again.  I either find them when I don’t need any or not find it when I do need it so I buy more.

This is what I came up with for a solution.

I bought this tool nail storage from Dollarama for $2.00
This one has moveable shelves.
First, take out all the moveable shelves.
I also bought this card stock paper from Dollarama for $2.00
(I don’t have a pet, I just wanted the card stock lol)
Choose a design you want and cut the shape of the first sections of your organiser.
Place it inside
If you have an X-acto knife, use it to trim off the extra paper. (this doesn’t need to be perfect its to use it as a outline for your others.)
Mark the lines on any pieces that are sticking out (mine are the sections where my shelves enter).
Once done, take it out.
Now use a pencil to line where your scissors should start to cut the shape.
Once you cut it out, make small sections if you need to.
Now place it inside and repeat it for the rest of the sections.
This is how mine turned out.
Now you can you can place the wall dividers back.
Custom design to how and where you want to put your batteries.
For the cover, get another paper or card stock and cut the shape you would like, I chose a square.
Use tape or glue

Tape or glue in the back of the paper.

Add a label
Write what you would like to call your battery storage. I chose ‘Battery Station’

For the inside labels. I used document labels from Dollarama.

This is how mine turned out after I place them inside.

Lastly add your batteries.
Now you have your own Battery Station.

Did you really think that is all? Of course not! Go on and explore I’d love to share more with you, check out my about page! I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. 3. I really liked this idea. Especially when sometimes we have to put all of our batteries ontop of our fridge wich is really hard to know wich ones are good or bad or what kind they are. Or and btw I have the exact same scrapbook papers you used for the base of the battery case so yea! Great idea. 🙂
