My Vacation! Part 1 – Antigua

As you may already know. I was on vacation in Dominica for the past two weeks. So far I flew from Newark to Antigua and Antigua to Dominica. Then coming home I took a boat from Dominica to Martinique and flew from Martinique to Montreal and from Montreal to Toronto. Whew, I am tired just typing all that. It was a wild ride and a lot of firsts for me and my baby boy traveling together for the first time. It was me, my son, my two little sisters, my little brother, my mom, my aunt and our family friend (I felt like we could have filled a plane) heading off to the islands for our family reunion.

First, stop Antigua

We stayed at the Halcyon Cove by Rex Resorts. It has its own beach, pool, and dinner at Warri Pier Restaurant over the ocean. The customer service was excellent, the food was amazing and the beach was blue and beautiful. There are even some shops there for you to buy yourself a swimsuit or a souvenir. The hotel even provided a playpen for my son to sleep in. I  honestly would come back again one day.

Although we were there for a night and a few hours in the day. I really enjoyed myself.

If Antigua is a place that you are thinking about going for your honeymoon or just going there with your family then there are some things you can do there like visiting their Fort Barrington, Botanical Garden, Gallery Bay Beach, Art at Harmony Hall, Reservoir Range, V C Bird Monument, Antigua Megaplex 8 or Wadadli Animal Nature Park. Of course, there is always just relaxing on the beach and listing to the waves hit the sandy beach. If you are looking for an adventure, then you should check out some places like Ride Rocketman LLC, Luxury Safari Antigua or take a helicopter ride around the island. Maybe you prefer to shop well there are a ton of places to do just that as well.
