Organizing 2013

organizing

With this last year gone, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on all my organizing solutions that I have shared with you all in 2013. Actually, I wanted to share 13 organizing solutions since it was the year 2013 after all. That year has been filled with new experiences and well overall everything was new for me, this was my first time ever having a blog and figuring how everything worked. My love of organizing and being creative, as well as other blogs, helped me to grow the blog that I have today. Why shouldn’t I share all that I have done?

I am proud of all that I shared!

 Organize manuals

Everyone thought I was a little crazy for sharing this one because I guess not everyone like to organize their manuals like I do. What? I like to have them just in case I give it away to donate or if something needs to fix. Also, it is perfect for when you are moving, especially if it is instructions for a bed or entertainment center.

This is one of my favorites. I could not stand all the space that was taking up with all my siblings DVDs. When I think we finally got a hold of everything, another DVD gets bought or given to us and it starts to add up. When I saw this CD case at Walmart the idea sparked in my head and I got started on this. It is the perfect solution for any place especially if you are living in an apartment.

Organize Report Cards

I organized my report cards for years and thought other moms could benefit from it as well. It was a simple way of keeping track of my progress and just to know where they are in case I needed it. It is like receipts of each year, each grade and each class that your child ever has done. I can’t wait to do the same thing for my son when he starts school.

 Organize Finances

This financial organizer is the best to me personally. Now that I am a taxing person, this helps me get all my receipts and overall payments that I have done through the year. What is nice about this one is that does not caters to just one year. After the year is done, simply take them out and reuse this organizer with the new receipts of this year.

 Organize Stories

I wrote many stories that I am proud of and did not want to just stuff them in a box somewhere I wanted them to be all in one spot and where I could find them. So, I bought a big binder, placed them in clear holders and organized them by year, school, class, and teacher. Even young I found ways to be organized.

 Art Organizing

My little sister is the queen of art in this house. There is no going anywhere without seeing her drawings everywhere, on scraps of paper to notes books. I love her artistic ways but it is getting a little out of hand in my books so these art solutions are a great idea for those who have an artist in the family. Simple ideas that will really come in handy.

I do not think I could live without this program on my computer. It is the source for everything from financial to my blog and schedules and creative ideas. It is like the ultimate note book and organizer for well like I said before everything and anything. There are no rules with this program and insert photos and much more. I love Microsoft’s One Note program.

Kid Organizing

One of the other things I got into was printables. Originally I normally only made them for my household but since I was sharing all my household tricks and ideas. I figured that I should be sharing these printables as well and from the comments and likes, you guys seem to agree with me. These are the first printables that I did for my in 2013 like the kid’s schedule and the kid’s chore schedule that I made for my siblings.

I made this for my son because I was tired of having to search for socks or bibs and hats when it was all over the place in that basket. Let’s face it you knew I was bond to organize it lol. My problem was solved with I added dividers to my slim basket and labels. Now I am able to grab what I need when I am on the go. Awesome!

Organize Home

This printable was one of my most popular downloads. I didn’t think this one would take off the way that it did but I am happy that is has been helping other families than mine. I know how it can be sometimes having to go to different stores and having a ton to do. When I made this it was around the time that I was getting ready for my vacation trip and believe me this defiantly came in handy for me and my family.

Organizing Apps

My favorite app on my phone, I can’t live without it. It holds all the things I need to remember or ideas that pop into my head when I am not near my computer. It is my other brain since life can my me so busy that I can’t remember certain things that I wanted to remember. Life of an everyday mom right? My phone is normally always by me so having a go-to app that I can jot down things really do help me out.

This one printable is also another popular printable that I have. I originally made this for the babysitter that would be coming over to my place to watch my siblings for me when I was pregnant. Since me and my mom didn’t know when my son would decide to leave my stomach, I thought making a guide would help my mom out when a babysitter did show up they would know everything they needed to from emergency contacts, to allergies and schedules (in case my siblings tried to trick the babysitter.)

 Mail Organizer

Lastly, well number 13, is the paper/ mail organizer that I bought for my mom for our kitchen. It has two big pockets for mail or papers, a little pocket for receipts or little things and a notepad for quick grocery list and more. Oh, and it also has a section to place a pen or pencil because if you have a household anything like mine then you may have the same problem with finding a writing utensil in your place too. Mystery hopefully solved for at least one pen.

What an awesome year of organizing. You can check out these projects in the Project Gallery and any one of my printables in the Printable section. If you think these ideas are good then you are going to like what else I have in store for you.
