DIY Foldable White Background

diy foldable photo white background

In need of a white background for taking pictures? Me too! I have been trying to figure out a way to have a white background for some of my posts (instead of the usual background I tend to always have lol) without having it take up small in my apartment. Recently, I have seen ones made of out cardboard boxes but they seem to take up space and I for one do not have any more room for yet another box.

So what can I do? Use a white sheet? Do I use construction paper? Use a white wall in the apartment? Nope I came up with a very simple, very affordable and very easy way of creating a photography backdrop for blogs, for well pretty much anything really.

Here let me show you how I made it!

I bought three white Craft Boards from Dollarama for $1.25 each.

Took duck tape that I had
(still, no white duck tape so using my leopard one)
Continue to fold tape along the side of all the way down the longer side of the craft board
Now your background can open and close.
Next cut the last craft board to the same size as the smallest length.

Place the craft board you just finished cutting and place it in between the two craft boards and duck tape the sides.

Here is how to make the latch (thats what I am going to call this)

Make sure you have a veltcrow pieces, I bought mine from Dollarama
but it is at any craft and sewing places.
Take a piece of duck tape and cut to make three sections
Fold middle section
Stick one side of the feltcrow onto the middle section.
Fold the other two down
Stick the other side of the tape onto side of the craft board
Cover the exposed tape on the other side with extra tape

Now you can place the other side of the feltcrow onto the other craft board side
Simple stick both sides together.
Make another latch or flap underneath the bottom craft board.

Now you are ready to take pictures!

 Great size for any project.
Here is the back view.
Close it when you are done.
Tuck it behind somewhere when you are not using it
and take it out when you need it.
