DIY Magazine Art Gallery

diy magazine art gallery

I love sketching, when I have the time of course and I created these sketches for my wall in my old place and decided to place it onto my closet door when I moved into my apartment creating a magazine art gallery of my own art.

Don’t go thinking that you cannot create this because I am no amazing sketching artist, I have basic skills with a little extra something something. Either way anyone can make this, really, its true. It is also a great way to display children art in their bedrooms. Let me show you how you can create one of these or a ton of these for yourself and home.

This is what my closet door looks like now.

Here are two examples of what is on my wall already.

 Choose a magazine
Choose a page or picture you want to duplicate
Get a long ruler
Make a lines the size and length of ruler

Next rotate the ruler and make horizontal lines

Do the same thing to a blank piece of paper.
Now create what you see in each box.
When your done following the lines in each box it will look like this.
Now darken the lines of the image
Looks great but not done yet.
I filled the hair in with the box lines, you don’t have to do that.
Erase the lines to the boxes.
Shade in the hair.
Add tape or glue the back of the paper.
Place the sketch onto a coloured piece of paper and tape it onto the wall or closet door.
Great addition to my closet door!
I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment to say how much you enjoyed my post or even say hi, follow me on Twitter, like my Facebook page or  even subscribe. I will do the same! Have a wonderful creative day!

  1. Hi Shanice. I remember seeing this on another party and I thought I commented on this…I'm getting old. Anyway, you did a great job at making your own art. Thanks for sharing on Merry Monday.
