Bulletin Board Transformation

bulletin board

As we get towards the end of the projects that will equal to the Top Bunk Makeover. I was going to buy a new bulletin board but I decided to save some money and reuse my old bulletin board that I had in my bedroom. Ultimately give it a transformation.

My sister had a ton of paper art and such so a bulletin board is just want she needs to display and showcase her work. Also we can add note for her to remember or whatever her little heart desires. I had a idea of what I wanted this bulletin board to look like but along the way, what I had in my mind turned into my idea plus more.

Originally my go to was spray paint it of course (its my new obsession…I can’t help it). I wanted two white sides and two pink sides to go along with the pink and white theme I was going for in the transformation. The stars on the cork board section is actually an gift bag. I got it a long time ago that I hot glued on because I liked the print of the bag. I left it on since I was spray painting anyways.

As you can notice with taking off the gift bag that was on the middle left rips and tears on the cork board. Now I had a new problem so I had to think of something quick. I did not have anything stylish that could go in that section like more gift bags and couldn’t really think of anything until I found some jeans. Yes jean fabric.

It was from the time I cut my newly bought soft jeans (my mom and aunt was not impressed). But if you seen the bell bottom bottom of the jeans then you would totally understand why I had to cut them into very cute shorts.

Cut the fabric to the length of the cork board.
Lay the fabric down
Use a glue gun to glue the fabric to the cord board.
I pulled and stretched the fabric as I glued it down.
All that there is left to do is to hang it up in your room, office or child’r room and pin away.
I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment to say how much you enjoyed my post or even say hi, follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram page or even subscribe. I will do the same! Have a wonderful creative week!
