A week ago I told you that I love baking soda because it is one product that cleans a million things around the house but having to tip the box (which can cause you to pour out too much) or using a spoon to dish it out (I know people who do that) is not working for me anymore. I wanted something that wasn't an orange box and the only thing I could think of is using salt and pepper shakers. Perfect for shaking the right amount of baking soda and perfect for style as well.
I bought these salt and pepper shakers from Dollarama for $1.00 I believe.
I love the glass and silver. It is simple and the cover rotates so you can choose different quantities.
When I saw this clear gift wrap I wasn't sure what to use it for but bought it anyways.
Cut the gift wrap to the size of the body.
Use the hot glue gun below the rim of the container.
Cut any remaining gift wrap sticking out of the bottom of the container.
Then use the hot glue gun to hold down the small amount for gift wrap.
Now it's done!
I also did the same thing for the larger storage container that I am using for when I buy extra boxes.
The salt shakers make is easy to bring around the house or storing it around the house meanwhile you have another larger air-tight container for holding extra amounts of baking soda.
The only thing left to do is to pour the baking soda into the containers.
Oh and one last thing, make sure you add a label. You don't want guest shaking baking soda on their food at the dinner table thinking that is was salt. I don't think they would appreciate that very much.
I can't wait to use my stylish baking soda dispensers, bye bye orange box!
I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment to say how much you enjoyed my post or even say hi, follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram page or even subscribe. I will do the same! Have a wonderfully creative week!
