Gift Wrapped Reading Wall Letters

diy wall letters

I been wanting to do a reading wall for my sibling’s bedroom for a while now but pushed the idea off to the side to tackle other things around the house. Now that one wall is complete need of decor I figured it was time to start giving that wall some life. Starting with the letters, the wall needs some word that will go above the book shelves.

I wanted the word to be R-E-A-D (makes sense right.) but due to the lack of letter D I had to think of another word and chose the word L-E-A-R-N.

I bought these letters for $2.00 each at Dollarama.

Supplies:

Wooden Letters
Cardboard
Gift Paper
Clear Glue
Paint Brush
Scissors
Glue Gun
I thought this poke dotted gift paper would look very cute on the letters. It cost me $1.25 at Dollarama.
Cut the gift paper into a square. The square should be larger than the letter.
Use the clear glue to add the gift paper to both sides then add more to any exposed sections.
Use the clear glue to flatten any gift paper sticking out.
Once it is dry, use the glue gun to glue the letter to the cardboard. Mine came with the letter so I didn’t need to buy any.
Repeat the process again with the other letters.
To hang it on the wall, use mounting strips. I bought mine for $1.25 at Dollarama.
Take the double sided strips and place one on the cardboard and then stick it on the wall.
Once done all the letters you have yourself a cute word.
Stay tune for the reveal of the reading wall.
