Hometown Hunt – My Wonderful Guilty Pleasure/Favourite Restaurant

hometown hunt - eventbrite

You know I can’t help but share my favourite things and places and adventures. So when I saw other bloggers participating in Eventbrite’s Hometown Hunt online project, of course, I had to join in on the action! In case you don’t know who Eventbrite is, they are a very cool site where you can create event pages for companies or for yourself.

You have complete control of the promotion, attendance, registration and overall be able to sell tickets for your event. Be sure to check out Eventbrite’s sell tickets page for more information.

If you know me, then you know that since I had my son I have turned into a homebody. I love my home and love staying home as much as possible (hint when my siblings are at school and the house has a hush of quietness in the air) but when I do go out and enjoy this Toronto (Canada) city of mine, I make it count. I was asked to share my favourite spot that I wish would have events and without a doubt, the first place I could think of is my favourite restaurant Moxie’s! I love Moxie’s and always go there when I can.

Moxie’s has delicious scrumptious chicken wings, that right now makes my mouth water just by thinking about it. I don’t know what they do to it but is always taste amazing. For dinner, I am a classic ribs (any form of chicken) and mash potatoes kind of girl and I can vouch that theirs is worth the money. Okay so I have a confession, there is one thing that I can’t ever leave Moxies without and that is their white chocolate brownie. So yummy! I wish I could have it every day.

Imagine (or look at the photo I kindly provided for you) a white chocolate brownie in a puddle of milk chocolate and topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Oh yeah!

If you haven’t been to Moxie’s yet then I don’t know what you are waiting for. Moxie’s has fantastic food, drinks (if you are into that) and dessert (if you are not full to fit that in) but sometimes I wish it had a little more to it. Does it have a TV? Yes. Does it have music playing? Yes. Does it have anything else than those things…. the answer is no.

I wouldn’t mind it if they had live entertainment once a week or maybe in the summertime but something to really liven up the place. I enjoy talking to my friends and family at a restaurant, but I would so enjoy a time when Moxies could host a small event, live music or some sort of live entertainment.

Overall, Moxie’s is my place of choice. Not too expensive, stylish modern decor, amazing food and it is located at my local mall. Win-Win for me! So tell me… what is your favourite hometown spot?

  1. Is Moxie's a chain restaurant? Name sounds familiar, but don't know if we have one down here. Cuz if we did, I'd be diving in to the middle of one of those brownies!! YUMMO, girl! Dona

    1. Yes it is a chain restaurant 🙂 I would dive into the brownies as much as possible if I could. Hopefully this restaurant will be there sometime soon Dona.
