How to Make A Spring Monogram Canvas Garden

How to Make A Spring Monogram Canvas Garden

I will fail to accept this winter blues outside because like my one of my favorite stores, Michaels Craft Store because like them I am bringing it the spring indoors. Michaels has a buy one get one free sale on their garden/ spring collection so you know that I had to get my creative hands on this. When I first some the fake grass, I knew what I wanted to create. I wanted a spring monogram garden to put on the wall for my littlest sister. I have been creating the ultimate space for my siblings and figured that this is the time to start some projects for my littlest sister.

This project definitely suits my littlest sister’s personality because when I think about her, I think about her lively personality, herĀ burst of enthusiasm and like she is singing and running in a colorful field of flowers. Yeah, this project is so her! For this project, I am using fake daisy flowers that costĀ $11.99, letter ‘J’ that cost $9.09, fake grass that cost $8.99 each that I bought from Michael’s Craft Store (that BOGO deal!) and canvas board that used to be above my bed that I bought from Dollarama.

When buying these fake grass, they come individual squares.

What I like about them is that you can hook them onto each other.

Now take the canvas board. I left the design on the back since no one will see it. I like the lines design on it. You will be able to see it on the sides when it hangs on the wall.

Glue time! By using a hot glue gun, it keeps the back of the grass onto the board instantly. Make sure to put anĀ even amount of glue on the grass because you want it to stay stuck when hung on the wall.

Once done glueing, it will look like this.

Flower time! I love the bright colours of these daisies!

Cutting them is not always an easy task, however, if you don’t have wire cutters, you can use kitchen scissors that you use to cut meat bones.
Before glueing the flowers, I wanted to make sure the letter ‘J’ was on so I glued that on first.

Then added the flower heads onto the grass as well.

All done!

When placing it onto the wall, use thumb tacks or nails then you are ready to display.
