Bring The Outside In For Autumn

Bring The Outside In For Autumn | City of Creative Dreams

Can you believe that is it that time again? Autumn is just around the corner! Orange leaves are falling off the trees... well if you were to look outside of my window right now that is not happening at all. In fact, the leaves are still green and the heat is still summery for some reason so I am going to have to bring autumn inside. I am taking on the Wayfair campaign #BringOutdoorsIn and showing you how I am getting ready for autumn.

For starters, I am replacing the blue pillows with the browns and orange pillowcases. I am not a huge fan of having just orange everywhere. So I like to stick with the browns and golden colours. A nice pop of pattern such as polka dots, it still gives me that touch of orange without having me feel like I am living inside of a pumpkin.

Recently, I have been working on DIY coasters. I took some very neat wooden leaves and transformed them into nifty stylish drink coasters. I had to give the wood a little colour by spraying a little champagne colour on it. Who says that all leaves have to be orange? Now my autumn drinks with be held by these beauties.

Another way that I am getting ready is by helping my little man get ready. We sat down and turned his hands into a tree this weekend. He had fun turning his fingers into branches and arm into a trunk. Even though I did the cutting, he turned into such a glue master that I was beginning to think he may not need my help anymore.

Those are my ways of getting ready for autumn. Very simple things that make the season a lot more fun. How are you bringing the outside inside this autumn? I wanna know! Share below.

I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment to say how much you enjoyed my post or even say hi, follow me on TwitterFacebookGoogle+PinterestInstagram page or even subscribe. I will do the same! Have a wonderfully creative week!
