Food Truck Festival ’14

Toronto's Food Truck Festival 2014

I was totally excited to be going to the Food Truck Festival this year. I have never been to before. I been so interested in food trucks and going to any food truck in general ever since I watched the Food Channel and Eat.St.

I made it my goal this summer to go to a food truck but missed one of my opportunities until now. I heard about it from Buytopia… you know my favourite site with great deals and bought tickets 2 for $13.00. I would have to pay around $25.00 if I did not do this deal. Not too bad of a discount.

When we got there it wasn’t that many people, most likely because of the time we got there. The sun was setting and starting to get dark. I believe there were originally 23-25 food trucks all in one area but since I came close to the end of the festival there were only 9 left. All the many trucks I had missed out on but at least there was some left.

I heard the lines were pretty long though and now was a great time because barely anyone was here. I scanned around the space and trucks on what I wanted to eat. Lots of burgers, fries, hot dog options. Not too sure if there was gluten-free options but I was sent with a container in case there was for my mom.

I chose my food truck and it was Bacon Nation. I think I saw this on Eat St.
I got the Bacon Wrapped with Pulled Pork and Cheese Hot Dog with a side of Fries.
The best money spent… it was expensive, really expensive but sooo worth it. I spent around $26.00 for two sets of this. (Ohhh saying that and seeing that amount being spent on a hot dog and fries really hurts…. really really hurts)
I am pretty glad that I did not stay here too long, I fear that my bank account would be empty lol

The only thing I did not like about this event was all the birds flying dangerously near me. I thought one would hit me in the face. I don’t like birds… well I like birds… just not very close to me… distance it good, very good but we were outside and there is food around so those birds felt like they were welcomed. Other than that, I would totally go there again. I may have to save up a lot until then but Next Year I Will be Earlier!

I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment to say how much you enjoyed my post or even say hi, follow me on TwitterFacebookGoogle+Pinterest page or even subscribe. I will do the same! Have a wonderfully creative week!
