Entry Closet Dividers

closet dividers

I told you I was doing a entry closet makeover. I thought about creating entry closet dividers while creating and organizing the shoe section of the closet. It popped into my head actually. I found that my siblings often dug into the closet looking for their coats.

They often couldn’t see their coats and then I would have to dig into the closet to find a coat or sweater that was right there but had gotten eaten or bullied by another jacket. If it did not find it self on the floor then it was somewhere in this closet. It was not that it was not hung up on the rod or that it was dangerously hanging off hangers but my siblings coats would somehow find its way hidden behind my mom’s coats. So, I came up with a solution.

Who knows if this would actually work in my place… It was an idea that I had to try. My coats are personally in my bedroom so I don’t really have this problem. Plus my coats could not honestly fit in this closet. (That’s a problem when there is a small closet and many people.) I am happy with my version of a coat closet in my bedroom.

I don’t have to worry about my coat landing on the ground. Do you like when your coat is on the ground? It annoys me to have to continuously pick up the coats and replace it onto a hanger. Not that this project is going to solve that. It is only going to organize it. Hopefully lol.

How to make:

You will need a cardboard roll. Thicker ones instead of the thinner types are better for this project.
Next, cut straight down and stop where you like the size of your divider to be.
You will need decorative tape.
 Tape around the roll.
Make sure you fold end pieces into the section you have cut.
I used different ones to make a pattern.
Slide them onto the rod of your closet or entry closet.
Now you can organize the coats into sections.
It is a cute way to keep coats in their places.
Here is the final reveal of my entry closet makeover.
