Bedroom Closet – The Progress

small bedroom closet

Cleaning out my closet is no easy job. Yesterday, I shared with you my plan for this small closet of mine and with a plan comes a little progress. I didn’t realize how much labor this turned out to be. I also thought this wasn’t going to take as long as it did…and I am only talking about clearing out my closet. For a space so small I am surprised by all these things fit inside.

Closet Update

There was a huge box, then little boxes pilled on old little boxes from the cellphone I have purchase, camera I purchase and an American Idol board game (I remember begging my mom to have this and yet don’t remember playing it more than the one time. BORING) Oh and  believe it or not I was only talking about the right side of my shelf.

As for the left side… it consist of one large storage basket to make it seem like I am organised or at least attempted to try then there is my old clothes or memory clothing that I would never dare to wear again but hold it because it holds a memory or a time when…dot, dot, dot, dot, dot. Or shear guilt clothes. You know those kinds?

You don’t want to give it away because it was a gift yet you don’t want to ever wear it. Yeah, I have a few of those in my closet. Someone gave it to me and I been stuck holding it. Oh and I have a bag of linen up there as well.

Time for the clearing out the top shelf. The box was the hardest to take down because of the angle but it came down and was left on my bed with the other stuff I took out.
Next, my jeans have got to go. They were hanging up on the left side of my closet for too long taking up space and I don’t even wear jeans that often any more. (I’m going into a fashion phase again. I have been more interested in those legging that look like pants.)
Where to put the jeans now? A nice stack up on my shelve will have to do until I get my drawers. I should really consider re-going through them. Donation time.
I placed my luggage up on the shelve after practically taking my bed apart because it was stuck under some rod from my bed. (I defiantly gain more muscles after that)
I went through some of my clothes but think I should go through it again because I know for sure I hold some ‘Maybe I will wear this one day‘ types of clothes hanging up in there.
I replaced my jean section with my jacket section, then added my skirts and legging to it.
I moved the rack shelves lower than it was before then added my thick comfortable sweater, hats, swim things, belts, and swim towels.
And then…there was the shoes. I lined them up on the put all the ones I don’t wear to the left.
That was a handful! There is still so much to do but at least I made a ton of progress so far. Now I need some things to really make this closet nice for the reveal.
I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment to say how much you enjoyed my post or even say hi, follow me on TwitterFacebookGoogle+PinterestInstagram page or even subscribe. I will do the same! Have a wonderful creative week!
