Decorating your interiors or getting upgrades is a challenging and exciting as well. Appointing an interior designer sometimes can be expensive. Desiring a fresh vibe for your home and do not have the resources? Here are some inexpensive ideas below that you can try:
1. Rearrange furniture
Play around with the furniture that you currently own. You can re-arrange the furniture as per your convenience to give your home a new look. If you have big open windows bring in natural light, you can have your sofas or living room designed. It is a great place to either laze around or start a conversation. Add an oversize lamp or light to add scale to the room. Work with the space you have.
2. Have plants around
Plants are a great source of fresh air and add greenery to any room. To decide which plants to grow or get, there are succulents, rose plants that would fill the room with fragrance etc. Having floral plants can also add color to your room. You can make plant hangers with good and unused plastic bottles.
Add accessories to your home either made by you or your children. If you have artwork or paintings lying around, you can frame them. There are many videos that you can find either on Facebook and YouTube. You can also decorate your home with vintage accessories to give a vintage feel. Hang a key holder near the door to hang your keys or even dog leashes if you have dogs.
Use innovative storage bins. You can use big plastic boxes to store your essentials and keep under the bed or use plastic shoe racks to store small items and hang them behind the door. You can de-clutter your study table with file organizers; make jewelry organizers and magnetized cosmetic organizers with non-used photo frames as well.
5. Built-in bookshelves or cabinets
Do you have bookshelves or built-in cabinets to display your favorite collectibles or items? Rearrange the items or stack up new items for display. Remove the items that are not useful and de-clutter your home. If you wall cabinets high up the wall, then stack glass vases or decorative chinaware lying around and not in use. This will be a great showpiece idea.
6. Rugs and mats
You can add a rug or mat in your room or especially near the door. It is a great addition to any decor and will also be a good comfort for your feet. Adding a rug would also add color to the room and make it feel cozy and warm. You can also make a rug or mat by yourself from old linen and towels. You can even spray paint your rug to resonate with your home style.
7. Stair runner
If you have stairs in your country style home, the first thing that your guests lay your eye on is the stairs. Indulge the stairs with some color and some patterns. Patterns like stripes can make a great impact without being too compelling. Stair runners will also lessen the possibility of slipping and provide grip.
8. Refurbish old furniture
Have an old sofa or chair lying around with tor fabric? You can refurbish your beloved furniture that you do not want to part with. You can get new fabrics for your sofa and match it with your wall or paint the chair new for an appealing look.
