News update! I finally ditched the plastic! Yes, I am plastic-free all thanks to Lisse. I have had my eye on getting this safety razor for a while now. Something was intriguing about not having to go to the store to get a new razor and at this point, I have tried it all.

Plus, I wanted to unhinge from the guilt of having to throw them away when they were no longer useful. After all, it is estimated that 2 billion disposable razors are thrown away every year.

So, with Lisse’s help, I am sharing why you need to shave with a safety razor for females.

Plastic Razors vs Safety Razors

First things first plastic razors are made with the idea that you can dispose of it after a few uses with the intention that you will need to continue to buy more. Forgetting that as you keep tossing, the landfill keeps growing and unfortunately this plastic can’t be recycled. We forget to think about that.

Safety razors provide you with that smooth skin after you shave but you don’t ever need to throw away your entire razor, you simply change the blade.

Safety Razor Women Tips

Create yourself a container to put your used blades in and when the container is filled you can bring it to a local sharps facility to be recycled. Keep your razor in a cool, dry place.

Shaving Oil

Lisse has shaving oil. It is vegan-friendly and has essential oils in it. Obviously, if you have been around my blog for a while now, you know I am a huge fan of essential oils. They are basically an essential part of my life so why not use the shaving oil along with the razor. You can bet that this levels up your shaving routine instead of using foam or body soap.

Why do I love Lisse?

To be honest, I love this product because it really is a great razor. I love how smooth it makes my legs. The design of it is stunning. I mean it is rose gold after all. There is a good weight to it and simply doesn’t look cheap.

I think that the price for their replacement blades is incredible, you can get a pack of 100 blades for just $18.00. Just imagine all the shaving you can do with that!

Shaving is no longer a chore to me. The investment I made for myself is well worth it to me, and the fact I am saving money in the long run definitely is a benefit for a single mom, like me.

This design helps make this shaving experience feel luxurious, pair it with the shaving oil and you are practically pampering yourself.

Best way to Organize your Razor

Of course, I have to add a bathroom organizing tip. To keep your razor looking sharp in your bathroom these Bathroom Shower Hooks for Razor from iDesign are pretty awesome.

I fell in love with it when I saw it on my favourite organizing blog site, Jen Jones from I Heart Organizing. Check out her space-saving storage with an organized medicine cabinet project and have your mind blown!
