Zoku Classic Popsicle Maker

Zoku Classic Popsicle Maker | City of Creative Dreams

What is summer without a cold treat? It wouldn't be the best one because on hot days we all need something to cool us down. The most popular treat is an ice cream cone or a popsicle. This summer I had the luxury to buy a Zoku classic popsicle maker. I have wanted this one for so long and happen to see it go on sale at Michaels Craft Store when it was a part of their summer collection. Although I was working all summer, I had time to make a batch of popsicles. This product is super easy to use and I love the way it was designed.

This is the perfect size for a freezer. I find that it doesn't take up too much space and my freezer is pretty much average size. It is also very easy to put together and easy to clean. Those are two of my favorite things, I don't want a product that will take too long to clean or take too long to put together.

It comes with the base of the mold, the plastic mold inserts, the sticks and bases for the sticks.

I love that once the popsicle is ready the plastic that is inside works like a cover for it. You simply run the plastic over warm water and slide the plastic cover off.

There was only one con that I had with this product. I noticed that the base of the popsicle stick is not spill proof like it gave the appearance so you have to constantly put a napkin at the bottom to keep it from dripping everywhere.

Overall, this product is perfect if you are like me who want to create your own types of popsicles or even if you have certain food restrictions for your kids. This product is fun for the whole entire family, you can have the kids create custom popsicles or even pour our smoothies into it. Love it!

LIVE LOVE LIFE LATELY

LIVE LOVE LIFE LATELY| City of Creative Dreams

Well, autumn is here. I watched new Tv shows and old shows which are all very good right now. While waiting for breakfast, I have had to occupy myself with my camera on my phone. It is just little moments in my life that I enjoyed such as the food I ate or the donut I got this week because I deserved it. It is a mix of the old photos and new.

15 Minute Spring Floral Arrangement

15 Minute Spring Floral Arrangement | City of Creative Dreams

I had a flower pot stored under my bed for months. Someone was going to throw it away and since I care for the environment I asked if I could have it but never found the time to deal with it until now. I also had some flowers sitting in a bag from Michael's Craft Store all spring. I bought them because they were in the clearance section for 60% off $7.99 and I loved the colours. It took me around 15 minutes to create this very simple spring floral arrangement.

First I took the flower pot and sprayed it in Krylon Champagne colour. While I waiting for that to dry, I began to take off the stems. I had used the pot as a measuring guide before spraying it so that I would be able to bend and snap the stems and take off the leaves.

Once dry, I took two light green hydrogenous and stick it into the foam at the back & front of the pot.

Before placing the blue flowers, I inserted all the leaves that I took out.

Next, I inserted the four blue flowers on each side.

All done! All I had to do now was place it on the dining room table.

DIY Autumn Leaf Coasters

DIY Autumn Leaf Coasters | City of Creative Dreams

Autumn is here! Orange leaves will be falling down in no time. The mornings is getting chilly and soon I will have to pack up my shorts... at least for outside. Last week I shared with you how I brought the outside in for autumn. I recently created some leaf coasters and today I am going to show you how I made it.

I bought these Celebrate It Harvest Garland from Micheals for $11.99. There was something about the wood that I loved and the design of the leaf veins.

For this project, I needed the garland, Krylon Champagne Spray Paint, Mod Podge and foam brush.
First thing first, I took off the twine that was on it since I don't need it for garland.

After I sprayed the wooden leaves and let it dry, it is time to bring out the Mod Podge. I used the foam brush and put a light coat on it then let it dry.

Now I have very stylish leaf coasters. I am in love with the light champagne colour.
