Springtime Style Must Haves

Springtime Style Must Haves | City of Creative Dreams

Summer is in the air... sorry I have gotten a little ahead of myself. Spring is in the air at least that I what I keep telling myself because just this morning we had an extreme weather alert. My poor body was shaking at the bus stop. No mittens or even a heated bus to keep me warm. Fear not because before I know it Spring will for sure come my way and today will be nothing but a figure of my imagination and a distant past.

iRazoo and I want to know what are your plans for Spring? Are you going to catch up on the latest tips and tricks? Take a walk on a warm bright sunny day? Will you relax out on your porch with laptop beside you doing a couple of paid surveys for extra money or go shopping to refill your already large closet full of clothing? Maybe a little bit of all! You will need the surveys cash to buy clothing and only then can you really a walk to show off all your spring time clothes! Here is an outfit I would love to be rocking this spring.

Spring would not bring spring if you do not have any floral prints. I personally don't jump towards floral anything but decor for my home, however, maybe it is the blue color but I really dig this dress. That is another spring thing, dresses, why? Well just like summer we enjoy allowing our bodies to breathe in the warm days. You will need a bag to hold all your things, so why not a wristlet. I am a huge lover of the large bags that fits everything but not on warmer days, you want something that is lighter and less of a drag to carry.

Next, sandals are a classic. It is the best footwear for warmer days. Slap some cute nail polish on those sad winter toes because everyone is going to be looking at these sandals. White shoes will go with any outfit that you choose. I love a good piece of jewelry, even though I have one necklace that never leaves my neck. I still think add some bling never hurts for any occasion. My eye candy collection is from Charlotte Russe.

Now I am all set with my Spring style. Are you?

I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment to say how much you enjoyed my post or even say hi, follow me on TwitterFacebookGoogle+PinterestInstagram page or even subscribe. I will do the same! Have a wonderfully creative week!

How to Get The Most Out of Your City: Botanical Garden

How to Get The Most Out of Your City: Botanical Garden| City of Creative Dreams

I really want Spring to be here if I am already going to a Botanical Garden. It may sound weird being in winter and all but I wanted for my little man and me to go for a walk over his March break. It is different than just going for a walk down the street. We made the effort to get outside and walk through nature. Yes, I wish it was warmer, however, not a lot of people were around and it was still a nice blue sky day.

If I had my own home, I would love a greenhouse like this!

I tend to walk to the bus, to work, and you will never believe the amount of walking I do in a day just going through life, however, to slow down and actually breathe in the fresh air is very rare. It gave me a moment to look around and to take in life's moments. I don't do enough of that. It's defiantly not easy with the many things that I need to get done, spinning within my head.

The semi frozen waterfall was a sight to see. It looked absolutely beautiful with the water next to the snow. The rock standing firm as the water slides and falls. I could only image how wonderful this waterfall looks when the flowers start to come in. I have to say that regardless of what season we are in, waterfalls always looks spectacular.

Loving this camera of mine, I should really start taking it out more. I captured so many photos that I really don't know what to do with them all. What may look like a simple bridge or a simple tree always gives me a new preservative. I can't help but take a picture of what I find is beautiful. The camera just captures what I see and what I should appreciate more everyday.

Overall, it was nice to whip out the camera. It was relaxing just being with my little man and enjoying the outdoors. He really enjoyed himself as well. I think that I may just add it to my list of things that I should do more often!

I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment to say how much you enjoyed my post or even say hi, follow me on TwitterFacebookGoogle+PinterestInstagram page or even subscribe. I will do the same! Have a wonderfully creative week!

How to Create a Easy Beautiful Kids Bedroom Wall Garden

How to Create a Easy Beautiful Kids Bedroom Wall Garden | City of Creative Dreams

Around this time last year, I created a garden style wall monogram for my littlest sister's wall above her bed. I love it to pieces but it was lacking something. It was missing something and well I couldn't figure it out right away. It seemed very lonely regardless of the poster and bubble bee art circling the wall. I left that the wall wasn't screaming at me for attention. Yet, the monogram is super cute and I worked my little butt off on it but this wall was missing its wow factor.

I came across fake flower mats from Michaels and loved the idea of transforming my sister's wall into a garden. It was the wow factor that I am going for. The color selection was incredible, did I want a purple wall, a pink wall or a blue wall? And then I had to give myself a reality check because this wasn't going into my bedroom. I can get a little carried away, it happens. So I asked my littlest sister her favorite color and under the list of three colors I decided to go with the only one she mentioned and that was the color green.

These floral mats cost $24.99 each and to create this wall I calculated that I would need eight of them but I am no sucker when it comes to Michaels so there was no way I would pay full price for anything for this project. I did what any loyal Michaels customer would do and wait for the right deal. I waited for their BOGO deal and filled my basket. I only had to pay for four of them because the other four was free! Plus slap on my entire purchase discount and I avoided paying a whopping $200! I spend like around $75.00. Such a difference!

Next, I needed something to hang all the floral mats to the wall and couldn't think of anything better than the Command hooks. They don't ruin your walls and if we move like I know we will down the road then these babies will come off the wall with ease.

Peel and stick!

I used the original monogram that I created as my center and stuck two Command hooks to each side.

What are the hooks going to hook onto? Well on the back of the floral mats there is plastic grid style backing to it. It makes it easy to allow the floral mat to stay onto the hooks and onto the wall.

After repeating the same process of peeling the Command hooks, placing it onto the wall and then adding the floral mats then it ended up looking exactly on how I imagined it.

What a difference! If this doesn't make you feel like you are laying down in the field of flowers then I don't know what will. I love this wall transformation so much. It makes me feel like it is Spring time all the time. Great simple design that makes a world of an impact to a bedroom. My littlest sister looked like the shock faced emoji when she saw this so with that result I pronounce this a mic drop project.
