Drip Trickle Flow Flood Podcast Review (and Why It’s Perfect for Mompreneurs) | City of Creative Dreams

As moms, we’re already juggling a lot — family, work, home, and maybe a side hustle (or two). Life as a busy mom is no joke, and when you add a side hustle into the mix, it feels like you need a second (or third!) version of yourself to make it all work. I know what you are going through! But no matter how much we plan, there’s always that one question in the back of our minds: “How can I make my money work better for me?

That’s exactly why I had to share a podcast I’ve been loving lately — Drip Trickle Flow Flood (this is not a sponsored post, and they didn’t ask me to write this, by the way). But let me tell you—while I am working my 9-5 job and dreaming of my side hustle life, I tend to be listening to this podcast (if I am not listening to a book from the library or listening to music on Spotify).

I enjoy feeling like I am in a room with people who get me and understand that I am not just one thing and my finances are not like everyone else, it drips, trickles, flows and floods, and that is okay. So, since I am not a guest on the show (at least not yet, maybe they will let me after this!), I wanted to share my review of this podcast, but I also want to connect it to you—my fellow busy moms with side hustles.

What the Drip Trickle Flow Flood Podcast Is All About

Drip Trickle Flow Flood Podcast Review (and Why It’s Perfect for Mompreneurs) | City of Creative Dreams

The Drip Trickle Flow Flood is like sitting in on a conversation between a financial expert and creative entrepreneur who get it — the hustle, the pressure, and the desire to build something lasting for yourself or your family. This podcast focuses on multiple income streams, and when you’re an entrepreneur, creative or a busy mom who loves side hustles, you know that money flows differently than a typical 9-5 job.

Tony Moceri and Melissa Cassera share their experiences and what multiple income streams look like for them, but also interview other professionals and their significant others. They explore topics like ‘Talking Money with Family‘, ‘Balancing Multiple Incomes‘, to mortgage, real estate and the publishing industry. There is something to learn from each episode!

For busy moms with side hustles, the multiple-income financial messages hit home. Because let’s be honest: we’re already living in multiple “streams” every single day. We manage family life, run businesses/side hustles, create content, care for others, and still find ways to chase our own dreams.

My Favourite Takeaways from the Podcast

Here are a few lessons that stuck with me:

  1. Diversify Your Flow — But with Intention

As moms, we’re used to multitasking, but when it comes to money, spreading yourself too thin doesn’t work. This podcast teaches that not all income streams are created equal. The goal isn’t to chase every opportunity all at once, but you do it in a way that aligns with your lifestyle. This will require some organization to fit all that you love inside your schedule, but there is a way to do it. You might need to space out the starting times for each passion.

    2. Accept Passion Changes & Embrace Multiple Passions

Accept that your passions can change, just as you do. Which means, we are all growing, and so are our passions. Maybe you loved baking cupcakes; it was a fun side hustle for a while, but you want to do something else, like flip houses, now. That is okay. You don’t have to stick with the same side hustle for the rest of your life. It is the same with many passions; I used to feel like I was so different because I have so many passions and dreams, and I can’t just stick to one box. Now I don’t feel alone!

    3. You Can Start Where You Are

One episode reminded me that you don’t need a huge audience or big startup money to start an extra income stream. Maybe your “drip” is affiliate marketing, your “trickle” is freelance work, and your “flow” is your main job or business. Every bit adds up. You are not doing anything wrong. You just have multiple income streams that differ in flows.

How I’m Applying This in My Own Life

Listening to this podcast got me thinking about how my own multiple streams look. I have income streams from my 9-5 job, my blog, my organizing business, collaborations, and digital products — but until recently, I hadn’t taken the time to categorize them all out in a way of which ones are drips, trickles, flows and floods.

After hearing the first two episodes, I began to visualize where my income comes from and where it goes. Here is what I discovered for myself:

  • Drips are: Etsy Store, Affiliate Income, Ads, Brand Collabs, and my organizing business
  • Trickles are: Guest Posts
  • Flows are: 9-5 Income & government income (ex., Child Tax)
  • Floods: My Year Tax Return.

This made me realize three things:

  • I have more income sources than I thought (hello, drips I didn’t give myself credit for!).
  • My hopes for future floods (publishing my book and flipping homes) and future trickles (royalties on an invention) are not impossible; it’s just not happening right now
  • I need to refine my time and energy to strengthen my trickles into flows

So now, when I sit down to plan content, launch a new product, or collaborate with brands, I think about how each one supports the bigger picture. The podcast inspired me to be more intentional, not just about earning but also about appreciating my income streams.

Final Thoughts

Drip Trickle Flow Flood Podcast Review (and Why It’s Perfect for Mompreneurs) | City of Creative Dreams

Here’s the bottom line: if you’re a busy mom with a side hustle, you need voices that inspire you without overwhelming you. The Drip Trickle Flow Flood Podcast does exactly that. I think sometimes we forget that being both a mom and a business owner (or aspiring one) is a huge accomplishment in itself. Listening to this podcast has helped me see my own journey in a new light—less like a race and more like a steady build. And I want that same encouragement for you.

So, here’s my encouragement for you: don’t wait until life “calms down” to start or grow your side hustle. Life as a mom will always be busy, and the perfect time doesn’t exist. Instead, start with a drip. Do what you can today. Celebrate those small wins. And keep showing up for yourself and your dreams.

So grab your coffee (or your headphones), and give Drip Trickle Flow Flood a listen. You might just find yourself rethinking how you see money, business, and balance — one episode at a time.
