High Tea At Windsor Arms Hotel

Last month I got to go to Windsor Arms Hotel for high tea with my work colleges. I have never been to high tea before and immediately picture fancy hats and pinky fingers. Between you and me, I don’t really love tea. I am more of a juice and smoothie kind of girl and rather have tea if I am sick. I know weird right! But I have to say that I enjoyed myself.

There was no rule you hat to wear a fancy hat but they do have the option in case you did want the full high tea experience. Believe it or not, there wasn’t a real dress code so we wore what we were wearing at work. I had my winter boots on since there was snow on the ground still.

As much as this was never on my dream list, it was still an experience that I really enjoyed and could not wait to tell you all about.

Tea Area

There are two sections to be seated. The first room was very white linen and close to the front door. The backroom where we were was so royal with deep shades of purple and white. There weren’t too many people when we arrived maybe two other tables had people than us. The table decor french style decor and decorative plates and teapot.

Food

I have to say that the food was spectacular! Who would have thought tiny foods could really full a girl. My mouth is watering just from thinking back to it. They are very considerate about allergies. We each got our tray of three. My favorite would have to be the scones, they were perfectly fluffy and delicious. If only I could get ten to go! The tea I chose was Eve’s Temptation, flavors of mango and apple steaming out of my teapot. We each had our own teapots that matched our cups.

Space

From the upstairs where the bathroom is, you can look below to the lobby.

Elevator

Even the elevator is detailed and designed beautifully.

Final Thoughts

The service was excellent! The waiter even added more hot water to our teapots when he thought it was cooling down too much. I would totally do high tea again. This experience gives you an alternate place to hang out with friends or family to enjoy each other’s company. Some love having their baby showers or small events there. If you haven’t tried it yet, consider it. Remember, I am far from fancy, we went there for a work get together but if you want a new experience this may be your ticket. I think this might be my new spot to bring my mom.
