Stop for a moment and think about this. Are you sabotaging your own success? We don’t always see what we are doing until we step back and see for ourselves. When we take a moment to really think about it, everyone sabotages themselves in one way or another. So how do you stop sabotaging yourself? I am going to break that down for you.

Waiting for the “Perfect-Time”

So, this used to be me in a nutshell! I waited for the perfect time and when the time is right. Yes, I was sucked into that black hole for years. I wanted it to be great, fantastic and perfect timing but when is it ever the perfect time. There are many things that people say, “I will wait until school is done” or when “I turn 20… 30…40 years old” or when “I get this and that“. I tell all my friends and whoever will listen that there is never going to be a perfect time than right this minute.

Example, if you are an inspiring blogger what are you waiting for? People will not know you are out there if you don’t even upload a post or Youtube video. You can’t blog if you are not blogging. You don’t need a fancy camera, picture perfect pictures and flawless lifestyle. People want to hear your voice and your views. Every blogger and Youtube blogger started off with different quality of their site and channel then now. If you don’t believe me check out the first video of one of your favourite influencers.

It is time to stop procrastinating my friend and start checking off boxes on what you really want to be doing so you can succeed.

Refuse to Fail

I have to admit that I refuse to fail. It is a great mindset to have if it is propelling you forward however, it can stand in your way if you’re waiting “to get this and that“. One thing I had to learn throughout my life is that it is okay to fail. It is okay to become a beginner and learn the hard way. Failure is not always a bad thing, you should see it as a learning experience. We have all falling as we learned to walk so anything we choose to do should be the same way. It is apart of life.

Too Busy

Another thing that is sabotaging your own success is making yourself too busy. Believe me, I know that life gets busy. I am a mom, who has a full-time job and still blogs part-time and developing an online course. There were points when I was doing all that while studying for my online diploma courses. So, yes we get busy but it took careful planning to get it done. You may think you are too busy to start something or to get done something you have been dying to do but you can.

I always share my schedule of how I do balance my work life and blog life because I want to show you that it is possible. If I can do it with so many on my plate then I am sure you can carve out some time to as well. It could be that you need to wake up earlier to have an hour for yourself or write while you are on the bus or subway home. Think about what you can do right now to get you where you need to be.
