Spring cleaning comes with a huge weekend dedicated to cleaning up. I know that sounds like a drag but there are huge benefits to giving your home a deep spring cleaning such as you get rid of the collection of dust and dirt that have been stored away. We all know that the second heart of the home which is your living room can for sure collect things along as coins in the cushions. So, let’s talk about that! 1. Light Fixtures
Your light fixtures are a common place we can simply overlook however when your spring cleaning it is the perfect time to remember them. This is the time when you unscrew the lamp shade and give it a good clean. Dust away any dust and give the light bulb a good wipe down. Take this time to really get the ceiling fans and entryway lights as well.

As much as we can vacuum the top of the rug there is a whole other world underneath your area rug that needs some attention. Try adding some baking soda to your rug and let it sit for a little while. After you are done your usual vacuum roll up the rug and give the flooring underneath some love and care. Believe it or not, there is a ton collected underneath because of some vacuums do not reach the full bottom of your rug.
4. Picture Frames / Mirrors
Fingerprints are easily placed on mirrors and the glass part of a picture frame. As much as we love having our photos displayed we can rely simply on dusting only. Same goes for our mirrors as well, we want to be able to see ourselves in our mirrors. Bring out the Windex or use some vinegar and newspapers to get your mirrors and picture frames bright and shiny.
5. Entertainment Centre
Dusting is pretty much the go-to for entertainment centers, however, there is more that needs to be if you want a deeper clean. Consider taking down any photos or books that are being stored and give the shelve a wipe down. Also, move cable boxes or gaming devices as well. Vacuum the back of the entertainment center. Wipe down screens such as the TV and even give the old remote. Many handle the remote so you will want to clean that as well.
