Sometimes you just have to do it yourself when it comes to creating your wedding decor. By making it yourself, you are not diminishing any of the quality. In fact, you are adding your own special touch to your wedding. How cool is it to say that you made this by yourself? How to Create an Elegant Place Card Display? Let’s me show you how I created this place card display.
I bought this wooden frame from Micheal’s Craft Store for around $6-7 dollars. I fell in love with the style of the frame and the design. It looks very fancy.
To get this look you will need:
- A Wooden Frame
- Paintbrush
- Gold Paint
- Black Satin Ribbon
- Staple Gun
Inspired by my article and project for Shutterfly, I used the same gold paint and applied it to the entire frame except for the back of it.
Now it is time to take out the ribbon. I decided to go with classic black satin ribbon. You can use whatever colour you choose. I bought mine at Micheal’s Craft Store as well for $4.99.
I used my staple gun to make the ribbon stay on the frame. For me, I personally think that the staple gun is better so you don’t risk having the glue not be strong enough.
Final Thoughts
When you are all done with this place card display on your wedding or for an event you can reuse it again. Use it in your office or bedroom to pin important papers or notes. Add corkboard to the back to really pin items to your board. There are many ways to reuse your wedding decor once you are done.
