Create/Set up A Boards (Wedding Inspiration Board)

It all starts with a Pinterest board. Create a board for each part of your wedding planning process. This includes things like “Wedding Dress Ideas,” “Flowers,” “Decorations,” etc. Then, add pins to these boards as you find inspiration for ideas.

Use these boards to throw anything that catches your eye. What colours do you like? It doesn’t have to be your official board. You can use this board for your wedding inspiration that piques your interest. Believe me, you will want a board that collects all your likes. If you need a little hand to create a wedding Pinterest board, I wrote this article below just for you.

Rinse and repeat. Once you have created your board, you can add pins from websites, magazines, blogs, friends, family members, and even yourself. Also, pins can be pinned directly to a board or you can pin them to individual posts.

Pin with Purpose

This is the best part about having Pinterest for wedding planning, you get to scroll and pin your heart out! Pin images that you feel you absolutely want for your wedding, the sky is the limit. Additionally, another favourite part about pinning is that you will be repinning other people’s pins to show your support all while adding inspiration to your own board. Have fun with it! If you see an image you love, click the “Pin It” button at the top right corner of the image.

Narrow It Down With New Board (Official Wedding Board)

Once you have collected everything you can possibly think about for your wedding, this is the time when you need to create your official board. The one where you will be sharing with your friends and family but also your wedding planner. This official wedding board will be used as a guide for planning. Have this main area filled with your wedding colour palette.

Organize your Pinterest Wedding Board

Now that you have an official board you are going to want to organize your boards into sections. Breaking your board into sections helps you out when you go to a vendor. You can simply go to that one section instead of having everything displayed at once. It not only helps you but the vendor to have a focused view. Examples:

  • Bouquets & Boutonnieres
  • Cakes
  • Favours
  • Venues & Locations
  • Wedding Dress & Attire
  • Rehearsal dinner
  • Ceremony
  • Reception Decor
  • Food & Drinks
  • Music
